Google Reveal Cr-48 Chrome OS 12.1-Inch Notebook

Google’s first Chrome OS Notebook has been unveiled, called the Google Cr-48 Notebook that comes with a 12.1-inch LCD display, it has a full size QWERTY keyboard, an integrated webcam and has no branding on it whatsoever. There are also other features which is just enough for people to experience the new operating system before it is officially available for public purchase, the Notebook will be available on a pilot programme and whoever get to be added to that list will be receiving the new Notebook/Netbook by January.

The Google Cr-48 also comes with WiFi 802.11n dual-band connectivity, it has 3G capabilities via Verizon, an oversized clickable touchpad and no CAPS key. According to Google, they have been using the device in-house for the pass six months and people who get accepted on the pilot programme will be available to jailbreak the device as soon as it is received.

Although there is no branding, manufacturers such as Acer and Samsung have confirmed that they are making dedicated Chrome OS devices in the future.
