CoreAVC is known in the industry as being the standard for playback of high quality H.264 video. The new CoreAVC Decoder allows you to offload video decoding to any accelerated decoder that works with either NVIDIA CUDA or ATI with Microsoft’s DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) interface for any Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 PC.
Why i should use CoreAVC codec ?
If you have PC machine with low specifications and you want to play HD, that is the solution.
List of required items ?
1.Nvidia graphic card
2.K lite mega codec pack
3.CoreAVC codec
From where i can snatch this things ?
1.For nvidia cards, its good to download latest video drivers(its not mandatory but is good).
2.K lite mega codec pack you will find HERE
3.CoreAVC codec you will find HERE
Now, install this things. If you ready lets start with the lesson ![]()
- Go to Start->Programs->K lite codec pack->Configuration->ffdshow video decoder
- You have to disable H.264/AVC decoder.
- Start MediaPlayer Classic (included in K lite mega codec pack)–> Right click with mouse on the screen—>Options—>External filters.
- Now you should add this filter.
Click on Add filter…–> Then from the list select CoreAVC Video decoder and click ok.
- Now you will have filter named CoreAVC Video decoder. Click on it and select it to be prefer.
- Play movie with media player classic. On the Play menu select play–>filters-CoreAVC video decoder. You will see this window:
Its optional but is good to check Use tray icon !
Restart Media Player classic. Play HD movie again. Check your tray icons and you will see this icon:![]()
If you dont see it click again Play-> Filters-> CoreAVC Video decoder. (You will see it only if you check “Use tray icon” !)
