According to the Korean company’s official Facebook account, the first Android 4.0 updates will only start in the Spring of 2012 or no sooner than April, and the lucky devices are Optimus LTE, the new LG Prada 3.0, Optimus 2X or the global version of T-Mobile’s G2X, the mid-range phones myTouch Q and Optimus Sol, and the LG Eclipse slider phone.

Other LG devices like the Optimus 3D, Black, Big, Q2, and Optimus EX are scheduled to get the 4.0 OS during the third quarter of 2012. Apparently, new Android OS versions arrive in Q4 so the Q schedule is “a bit late.”

LG said it will be taking “all possible measure to offer a smooth OS upgrade in a timely manner.” Hopefully, LG will remove its love/hate custom skin.
