Pioneer Computers Australia launches DreamBook ePad L11 HD. It’s an 11.6-inch tablet device, with Intel’s 1.66GHz Atom CPU, up to 2GB of RAM and either integrated graphics or a 512MB NVIDIA Ion 2 chipset. The 16, 32 or 64GB solid state drive contains Windows 7, and a three-axis G-sensor and an ambient light sensor give it support for tilt and low light.

A 1.3-megapixel camera is built-in, while GPS is optional. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 are standard, but 3G will again be an add-on. A mini PCI interface, SDHC memory card slot, two USB ports and an HDMI output are found around the magnesium case. Two 1.5W speakers are integrated, while an 4,800mAh lithium-polymer battery is said to provide up to six hours of battery life.
The DreamBook ePad L11 HD will be available in Australia in September, with pricing starting at $640. No word on whether it will hit US shores anytime soon.
