Samsung has unveiled two new budget Android smartphones this morning, Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2 which are getting impatient to quickly get into Mobile World Congress (MWC 2012) next week.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 features a dual-core 800MHz CPU, 3.8-inch 800 x 480 PLS TFT touchscreen, HSDPA 14.4Mbps, Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz UI, 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, 720p HD video recording, and flash, VGA front-facing camera, GPS / GLONASS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, accelerometer, digital compass, “optional” NFC, 4GB flash memory, 768MB RAM, microSD card slot of up to 32GB, and a 1,500mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 features an 800MHz CPU, 3.27-inch 320 x 480 touchscreen, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 3-megapixel camera on the back, aGPS, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, optional NFC, and a 1,300mAh battery among others.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 release date is April 2012 in the United Kingdom, while the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 shipping date is March in France. Both will be rolled out gradually across the world by the end of the summer, while prices will depend on retailers, carriers, and local taxes.
These aren’t the high-end devices that we’re all expecting, however, Samsung has sold millions of devices to low- and middle-entry consumers therefore they need some lovin’, too. The Galaxy Ace 2 is a pretty decent smartphone that will probably be one of the middle-end leaders this summers.
In 2011, Samsung has been the biggest smartphone vendor in the world selling about 98 million devices, while Apple was second with about 97 million iPhones sold. If the first quarter of 2012 will probably be led by Apple, the second and third quarters should get the Android manufacturer back on track.
